Day 01 / ( 16 Oct. 2007) Arrival Yangon
Arrive Yangon by International flight in the morning. Transfer to hotel. Start to visit the heart of city centered Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoola Park with Independence monument. Then photo stop at Karaweik hall - a royal floating barge with tranquil Kandawgyi Lake & Chaukhutgyi Recling Buddha. An extended visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world's most spectacular religious monuments, will conclude the tour of this picturesque garden city. The golden dome of Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 / ( 17 Oct. 2007 ) Yangon - Heho - Inle
After breakfast free at leisure. Fly to Heho. Transfer to Naung Shwe, the jetty of Inle Lake and sightseeing Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, wonderful floating gardens, floating market natives method of fishing and village life on the lake. Visit cottage industry of silk weaving on wooden hand looms where you can purchase Shan shoulder bags, cloth and longyi. On the way back drop in to at the jumping cats monastery. Overnight at Hotel, Inle.
Day 03 / ( 18 Oct. 2007 ) Inle
After breakfast, take a boat to watch the procession ceremony. Each year in the Phaung Daw Oo Pagda Festival time our of five Buddha images houses in Pagoda, the four images leave the Pagoda Shrine to make a procession trip lasting for eighteen days. Images are carried on the 'Karaweik Royal Barge' with an opening ceremony. The images stop at the villages in the Inle Lake for one or two days for homage by the people. On each and every stop held grand ceremony and boat racing. The four Buddha images will arrive Nyaung Shwe from Lin Kin where they overnight. At 10:00 am to 11:00 am is the traditional boat racing in the Inle Lake . The four Buddha image would be in Nyaung Shwe for three nights. During that days, the people from surrounding villages come to pay homage to Buddha images. Watching the boat competition. Stay overnight at hotel in Inle.
Day 04 / ( 19 Oct. 2007 ) Inle - Taunggyi - Kalaw
After breakfast, drive to Taunggyi. Highlights are Shan Tribal Museum , Local Market and Yat Taw Mu Pagoda in the southwestern part of Taunggyi which features a large standing Buddha. There happens a market day in this region after every 5 days taking place in every town in Shan State . Proceed to Kalaw, very beautiful a British hill station with cool climate, 1400 meters above sea level. Lunch. You can see half-timbered colonial houses amidst the pine trees & bamboo groves & visit surrounding area of Kalaw for trek & the Palaung, Pa O village. Overnight at hotel in Kalaw.
Day 05 / ( 20 Oct. 2007 ) Kalaw - Pindaya - Heho - Yangon
After breakfast proceed to Pindaya for sightseeing - Pindaya Caves ( Shwe -Umin or Golden Cave ). Also study bamboo umbrella making, paper making, Pindaya Lake and the aged thousand years old trees. Transfer to Heho airport for fly back to Yangon . Transfer to hotel. Leisure time at hotel. Overnight in Yangon Hotel.
Day 06 / ( 21 Oct. 2007 ) Yangon Departure
Breakfast. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure flight.
